30-day money-back, no questions asked (direct / Stripe). If you purchase Pro through our Stripe checkout on this website and the product is not a fit, email support@techbantu.us within 30 calendar days of the original charge. We refund the most recent paid period through Stripe. This guarantee applies once per email address per rolling twelve (12) month period and may be voided for chargeback gaming or other abuse, as set out below.
How to cancel a direct (Stripe) subscription
Use the self-service billing portal to manage or cancel: Stripe customer portal (VoiceType). You can also email support@techbantu.us and we will process the same request on your behalf within two U.S. business days. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the then-current billing period; access to Pro features continues until that period ends.
How to request a refund (direct / Stripe)
Email support@techbantu.us with the address you used to purchase, the approximate date, and "Refund request" in the subject. We typically respond within two U.S. business days and process eligible refunds through Stripe to your original payment method within five to ten business days, subject to your card issuer's timelines.
App Store free trials
If you purchased Pro through the Apple App Store, Apple currently offers an introductory free trial of seven (7) days for the monthly plan and fourteen (14) days for the annual plan. At the end of the trial period, your subscription automatically converts to a paid subscription at the then-current price unless you cancel before the trial ends. To avoid being charged, cancel through Apple's subscription tools at least 24 hours before the trial expires — see Apple's instructions at View or cancel subscriptions. Direct (Stripe) subscriptions do not include a free trial; the 30-day money-back guarantee above applies instead.
Auto-renewal & cancellation notice (California ARL)
If you are a California resident, the following disclosures apply pursuant to California Bus. & Prof. Code §§ 17600 et seq. (the "Automatic Renewal Law" or "ARL"):
- Subscription type. Monthly or annual auto-renewing subscription, billed in advance.
- Length of period. One (1) calendar month for monthly plans; one (1) calendar year for annual plans.
- Renewal. Automatic at the same price for the same length, unless you cancel before the renewal date.
- Price. As displayed at checkout and confirmed in your purchase receipt; price changes are governed by Section 11.6 of our Terms and require at least thirty (30) days' notice.
- How to cancel. Stripe customer portal (link above) or email support@techbantu.us. You may cancel at any time without contacting a representative.
- Annual renewal reminder. Between three (3) and twenty-one (21) days before each annual renewal, you will receive an email reminder containing the renewal price and a one-click cancellation link.
- Acknowledgment. You receive an acknowledgment email after each purchase containing all of the above terms.
EU and UK 14-day right of withdrawal
If you are a consumer resident in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, Switzerland, or another jurisdiction recognizing a statutory withdrawal right for distance sales of digital services, you have a statutory right to withdraw from your subscription contract within fourteen (14) calendar days of purchase without giving any reason (Directive 2011/83/EU on Consumer Rights; UK Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013).
Important: by starting to use Pro features (Cloud Polish, recording beyond the free tier, etc.) before the fourteen (14) days expires, you (i) expressly request immediate performance of the Service and (ii) consent to lose your right of withdrawal once VoiceType has fully performed. "Fully performed" means you have used Pro features beyond a de minimis trial.
To exercise the right of withdrawal where it remains available, email legal@techbantu.us within the 14-day window stating your decision to withdraw. We will refund the purchase amount within fourteen (14) days of receipt to your original payment method.
This 14-day right is in addition to (not in lieu of) the 30-day money-back guarantee described above; whichever is more favorable applies to you.
Refund limits and conditions
To prevent abuse and keep the 30-day guarantee available to all users, refunds for direct (Stripe) purchases are subject to the following:
- One (1) refund per email address in any rolling twelve (12) month period.
- No refunds after thirty (30) days from the original purchase, except where required by mandatory consumer law (e.g., the EU/UK 14-day right above where it still applies, or material non-performance under applicable consumer-protection law).
- No refunds for accounts terminated for breach of our Terms of Service (chargeback fraud, unauthorized use, circumvention of device limits).
- Annual subscriptions: pro-rata refunds for unused months are not provided beyond the 30-day guarantee, except as mandatory consumer law requires.
- For App Store purchases, Apple administers refunds; see the App Store section below.
We issue refunds promptly within the policy above. Initiating a credit-card chargeback or payment-network dispute without first using the refund procedures above triggers the following.
If you initiate a credit-card chargeback or payment-network dispute against TechBantu without first using the refund procedures above, in addition to all other rights and remedies, we may:
- immediately and permanently terminate your subscription and account;
- revoke device entitlements (the affected device(s) lose Pro features);
- bar your email address and payment instruments from future purchases;
- recover the disputed amount, chargeback fees, and reasonable collection costs from you.
If you believe a charge is incorrect, email support@techbantu.us first — we resolve nearly all disputes promptly and prefer that you avoid the credit-card dispute system altogether.
App Store subscriptions
Apple bills App Store purchases. To cancel renewal, use Apple's subscription management on your Mac, iPhone, iPad, or on the web; current Apple instructions are at View or cancel subscriptions.
Apple decides refunds for App Store transactions. You can submit a refund request to Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com; see also Apple's guidance at Request a refund for apps or content you bought from Apple. We cannot force or guarantee an Apple refund decision, but we will assist with purchase identifiers held on our side if Apple requests them.
Mandatory consumer-law rights
Nothing in this Refund Policy excludes, restricts, or modifies any non-waivable consumer right under the law of your country of habitual residence (including, for EEA/UK consumers, the rights described above and any non-conformity remedies under the EU Sale of Goods and Digital Content Directives; for Australian consumers, the Australian Consumer Law guarantees; for Canadian consumers, applicable provincial consumer-protection statutes).
