Dictate briefs, memos, and case notes at the speed of thought
Turn spoken argument into on-screen text in Word, in Clio or other web tools, in email to clients, and in the browser tabs where modern practice lives—without a transcription vendor holding the audio.
Privacy angle
Core dictation is on-device with VoiceType, which keeps the risk surface closer to client-attorney workflow hygiene you already control: disk encryption, device policies, and firm DLP. AI Polish is optional and may use additional providers for text when enabled—govern that like any other third-party text tool (see sub-processors and Privacy).
Practical use
- First drafts of client letters and internal memos before precision edit passes.
- Time entry narratives and matter notes in whatever system your firm runs.
- Long email when two fingers on the trackpad is not the bottleneck—clarity of thought is.
This page is not legal advice. Your bar and firm rules about confidentiality and technology still govern.
Start local-first; add polish only if your policy allows it.
